“It has been the most informative activity for parents in all respects: I have learned more about the approach, the school facilities, and my son´s teachers.” (Opinion of a parent that came to our first School Fair) Dear parents, We are pleased to invite you to our sixth annual “School Fair” that will be held at Trener 1. Please take note of the timetable.
In this fair, you will be able to visit different classes where you will find information and examples of the curricular work in each grade and area such as: the competences and indicators we use in order to assess, the basic contents that are taught, and the methodology and resources used in the learning process. Again, this year, the School Fair and Book Fair will take place simultaneously in order to facilitate the purchase of reference books, dictionaries and the books that are part of the readers scheme as well as other books that are age-appropriate for your children. This will allow our students to increase their personal library as a way to strengthen their interest in reading. As it is a fair, parents can choose the time for the visit, giving more emphasis to the themes of their interest. Likewise, you will have the opportunity to meet all of your children’s teachers and ask them about this year’s program. We would appreciate it if you would avoid discussing any personal issues during this time, but if necessary, you can ask for a meeting. We look forward to seeing you at this event. Estimados padres de familia: Nos complacemos en invitarlos a nuestra sétima edición de “School Fair”. Todo se llevará a cabo en Trener 1. Por favor tomen nota del cronograma.
En esta feria podrán recorrer diferentes espacios del colegio encontrando información y ejemplos de varios aspectos del trabajo curricular en cada grado y cada área, como son las competencias que se desarrollan y los indicadores de éstas al momento de evaluar; los contenidos básicos que se aprenden; la metodología y los recursos que se utilizan en el proceso de aprendizaje. Nuevamente este año tendremos paralelamente la Feria del Libro con la idea de facilitar la adquisición de textos de consulta, diccionarios y obras literarias del Plan Lector y otras apropiadas para las edades de sus hijos. En este sentido, cabe resaltar la importancia de que cada chico vaya formando su biblioteca personal como una manera de fortalecer su vínculo con la lectura. Como se trata de una feria, cada uno puede escoger la hora y el ritmo del recorrido, dándole énfasis a los temas de mayor interés. Asimismo, tendrán la oportunidad de conocer a los profesores de sus hijos y preguntarles lo que necesiten sobre el programa de trabajo de este año. Les pedimos evitar las consultas personales en esta oportunidad y, de ser necesario, pedir una cita con el profesor que deseen para poder ser atendidos de la manera adecuada. Esperamos su asistencia.
