CIRCULAR 016/08 – July Activities
Monterrico, June 30th 2008
Dear Parents,
We will be closing the first semester
of the year this month and will celebrate our national
holidays with various activities to be held between the
14th and the 18th. We hope you
will be able to guide your children through the process
of learning more about their country and culture and, in
this way, to ensure they will learn to love it, care for
it and commit to their roots.
This year, we will be also
celebrating these holidays along with the national
holidays of other countries celebrated in July as well.
These celebrations will allow our teachers, students and
foreign families to share their culture and traditions
with the entire Trener family.
We will be also celebrating Teacher’s
Day on July 4th. We would like to remind you that
showing our respect and love to our teachers is far more
important than just giving presents to them. I would
also like to express my recognition to all the teachers
for the commitment and dedication they show towards your
children day to day.

Additionally, our Counseling
Department will continue administering tests in First
Grade this month. Our Tenth
Graders will continue with their Confirma
sessions.
Finally, the interclass basketball
games (boys and girls) in 7th grade will continue this
month too, as part of the Sports annual program.
We hope everyone will enjoy their
vacations and will feel more energized after the
holidays to face the challenges of the last half of the
second trimester.

Estimados
padres de familia:
En este mes de julio en que
cerraremos el primer semestre del año, nos disponemos
también a celebrar las Fiestas Patrias con diversas
actividades en la semana del 14 al 18. Esperamos que
puedan colaborar con sus hijos en este proceso de
conocer más a su país y aprender así a quererlo y
comprometerse con él.
Nuevamente relacionaremos estas
fiestas con las de otros países que también celebran su
fiesta nacional en julio, ofreciendo la oportunidad de
que nuestros profesores, alumnos y familias extranjeras
compartan con toda la familia Trener su cultura y
tradiciones.
El día 4 de julio celebraremos
también el Día del Maestro. Les recordamos que ese día
la idea, más que regalar, es compartir y hacer sentir a
nuestros profesores el aprecio y afecto que les tenemos.
Aprovecho la ocasión para reconocer públicamente la
dedicación y el compromiso que veo día a día en cada uno
de nuestros profesores para con sus hijos e hijas.

Adicionalmente el psicopedagógico continuará con su
trabajo de evaluaciones en 1º este mes. También les
informamos que los alumnos de 10º continúan con la
confirma. Finalmente, les informamos que en nuestro
programa de deporte continúan los interclases de basket,
damas y varones, de 7º este mes.
Aprovechamos para informarles que hemos tenido
algunos problemas con el servidor de correo. Si no
hubieran recibido respuesta a algún correo, por favor,
reenvíenlo o comuníquense por teléfono al colegio.
Esperamos que todos pasen unas
felices y merecidas vacaciones y que regresen con
fuerzas para el trabajo final del segundo trimestre.
