Educational Approach

In a world where knowledge increases and changes daily, we try to ensure that our students develop the ability to build their own learning; that is, that they learn to learn.
Our education helps that the student learn what he or she is capable of

We believe in an education in which students build their own learning process through different projects in an environment of respect for others and the rules. The Trener educational approach makes integration easy.
Each section of the school has at least one tutor. He seeks to get to know and closely support each of his students individually, and through the bond of trust that is established, try to create a space for group reflection.
We pride ourselves on being a bilingual school. Through an efficient English program, which involves not only formal teaching but also daily contact, we favor the early command of the language by our students.
The training and experience of our teachers allows us to guarantee quality educational standards and a work approach that is always at the forefront. Since the foundation of the school, more than 30 years ago, we have prioritized collaborative learning, projects and a curriculum aimed at developing skills.
The school promotes the development of solidarity and social awareness in its students. This translates into the different community service programs in which students become involved and actively participate throughout the year.

Throughout their school life, students take various courses in English such as art, mathematics, history, world geography, among others. In secondary, they are already capable of communicate in both Spanish and English.
At the same time, we prepare students to pass the Cambridge University exams, starting with the B1 (Preliminary English Test), the TELT (Trener English Language Test) and the B2 (First Certificate of English). At the end of their schooling, our students will have passed the C1 (Certificate of Advanced English) and, a large group of them, the C2 (Proficiency of English), thanks to their high command of the English language. All this characterizes us as one of the best bilingual schools in Lima.
In addition, our secondary students start learning French as a third language. In this case, they prepare for DELF A1, DELF A2 and some even DELF B1 (Diplôme d'études en langue française).

At our school, we are convinced of the importance of promoting among our students the development of frequent and pleasurable reading habits. For this reason, the personal selection of readings in the library is encouraged from the first years.
As of third grade, we consider it necessary to have a plan that reinforces the reading skills of the students and strengthens the pleasure of reading, both in Spanish and in English. Our reading plan consists of reading 10 books a year (6 in Spanish and 4 in English).
These books can be found in our library, purchased at a bookstore of your choice, or at our Book Fair during the month of April. In this way, each student will be able to increase their personal library, which will make it easier to acquire a personal link with reading.

At our school, we have 3 weeks a year exclusively for projects: the first one is about topics related to the school, the second is Steam Week and the third is about citizenship. This allows us to coordinate in a very natural way several of the principles that guide our educational approach.
